COUNSELLING IN Silverstone, Towcester, Brackley, daventry, Milton Keynes, Northampton

Welcome to Beth Cochlin Counselling

A warm, professional, empathetic counselling service

Welcome, and thank you for visiting Beth Cochlin Counselling. I am a BACP registered counsellor based in Silverstone, Towcester in Northamptonshire.

Counselling in a safe, comfortable and private setting

Life brings many challenges, and it is understandable that at times we might look for support in facing them. Sometimes we can feel stuck in a situation or overwhelmed by difficult emotions. We can lose track of ourselves, who we are, what we want and feel uncertain how to move forward. At these times talking to a counsellor who is outside our normal life and situation can really help.

Abuse, Bereavement and Grief, Trauma, Relationships, Identity issues or Stress are common reasons my clients seek support counselling.

I can work with you in person online or by telephone

I will listen without judgement and you can discuss ANYTHING. My personal approach to my clients is natural, warm, and accepting. My focus is on empowering you, working things through in our relationship as you feel ready to bring them. I see clients from a wide area including Towcester, Brackley, Daventry, Milton Keynes and Northampton or nationwide on Zoom or telephone

My theoretical approach to counselling is Psychodynamic and Relational.

After an initial free assessment call or zoom we will agree a number of sessions:

I can work short term which may be 6-12 weeks

Or at more depth and long term if you want open ended support.

In person, online or by telephone

I work with people from all walks of life and backgrounds, coming to me with a diverse range of problems. I am confident to work with clients who have neurodiversity such as ADHD, ASD and am an ally and supporter of clients who are questioning their gender identity or are LGBTQIA+

As a fully-qualified counsellor you can be reassured that I have completed extensive theoretical training.

Types of counselling

Psychodynamic counselling

Psychodynamic Counselling helps you understand how your current feelings and behaviour are shaped by your past experiences and helps you understand your unconscious mind and impulses. It helps us also to understand relationship dynamics that seem to repeat themselves in our lives. The relationship with the counsellor is key to understanding this so choosing the right counsellor for you is important.

I can also offer short term, solution focused counselling where we would agree to focus on a specific area of your life.

How I Provide Counselling

I offer counselling in person, by video on zoom or telephone. Sessions are usually the same time each week but if you are a shift worker I will try to support you.

In person is in my home office in Silverstone Northamptonshire or online by phone in your own home.

Location & Fees

Sessions last 50 minutes and take place on a weekly basis and usually are at the same time each week.

I offer a free 20 minute initial call or Zoom so you can meet me and see whether you think I am the right counsellor for you.

Fees for in-person sessions are £50 payable weekly. Telephone or Online Counselling are £45 per session. The first session is a longer session where I will assess your needs and presenting issues and this session lasts up to 1hr.

I am based in Northamptonshire and see clients from Buckingham, Brackley, Towcester, Northampton, Daventry, Stoney Stratford and Milton Keynes.
